Jeffrey Moffett, Ph.D. Jeff has thirty years of experience working in the fields of business development, economic forecasting, destination marketing, resource allocation, and political strategy. Jeff worked amidst Pacific Northwest forestry controversies to optimize land uses over time for both wildlife habitat and timber production.
For Crested Butte Mountain Resort, Jeff held positions in marketing, lift pricing, and air service development. Working with all of the major U.S. airlines, Jeff conducted numerous market feasibility studies to evaluate new routes and revenue maximizing schedules.
In 2013, Jeff founded Triple Point Strategic Consulting to provide data-driven marketing, strategic planning, and business analysis in a variety of sectors throughout the Western U.S. and Canada. Triple Point is frequently retained to develop economic forecasts and financial models.
More recently, Jeff has and is serving as strategic advisor to multiple campaigns seeking voter approval as well as development projects requiring various government approvals.
Jeff has served on many boards and is currently President of the West Elk Hockey Association.

John Powell grew up in Gunnison and is currently working for Gunnison County as the Data and Communications Coordinator. He graduated from WCU in 2016 with a double major in math and sociology. His interest in data analytics started during his time at Western where he learned about the usefulness combining math and sociology to provide insight into the world. While at WCU he gained knowledge and experience in survey writing, data collecting, data analysis, and data visualization. John has travelled around many parts of Asia and spent a year teaching English before returning to Gunnison to start working.

He has been a frequent presenter at forestry conferences and has published more than 30 journal articles, working papers, and legislative reports. His innovative work with the UW Rural Technology Initiative has received national acclaim.

Dr. McCaa has more than 20 years of experience in Atmospheric Science, and over 10 years in the renewable energy space. He has traveled, worked, and presented internationally throughout that time. Jim is the Principal Investigator on several multi-year projects for the U.S. and other governments interested in decreasing the cost and barriers for penetration of renewable energy in mainstream energy markets.
